Baked Turkey Sausage, Tomatoes, Spinach and Cheese Pasta from Multiply Delicious



Ingredients:

1 (1 pound) package uncooked penne pasta
1 pound Mild Turkey Sausage links
1 cup onion
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 Tbsp tomato paste
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
2 (14.5 ounce) cans petite-diced tomatoes, undrained
¼ cup chopped fresh basil
½ cup chopped fresh spinach
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup grated fresh parmesan cheese

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350.

Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt and fat. Drain pasta, and set aside.

Remove casings from turkey sausage. Cook sausage, onion, and garlic in a large nonstick skillet oven medium heat until browned, stirring to crumble. Add tomato paste, salt, pepper, and tomatoes, and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Combine cooked pasta, sausage mixture, spinach and basil.
