Fall is in the Air~Maple Brown Sugar Roasted Acorn Squash



Ingredients:

4 large acorn squash, cut in half through the center with the ends trimmed off
3 tbsp butter
3 tbsp brown sugar
3 tbsp maple syrup
1/8 tsp nutmeg

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees and cover a large baking sheet with aluminum foil.

Cut 4 acorn squash in half and then cut a thin layer off the ends in order for them to stand up in pan without falling over.  

Mix butter, brown sugar, maple syrup and nutmeg together.  Place cut squash on a baking sheet and smother with syrup mixture.  Bake for approximately 50-55 minutes. Remove from oven and enjoy!
